The experience

Are you ready for the ride of your life?

  • an adventure you’ll never forget?
  • a journey into the wild?
  • big thrills, local stories, personal triumph?
  • Queenstown’s best half day adventure?

Eight lines, one alpine stream, an ancient forest.
More than a zipline adventure, it’s a journey through Glenorchy’s extraordinary landscape, stories and wildlife that leaves you exhilarated, inspired and proud of what you’ve accomplished.

Zipline rider high above the valley, snow-capped Humboldt Mountains behind

Nervous at the beginning… buzzing by the end

Zipline one launches off a cliff and travels high above the Oxburn Stream — a panoramic first look with Paradise and the Lord of the Rings mountains behind it as your backdrop. Our highest and longest zipline, providing the access into the stunning gorge.

The Orc Chasm seen from the zipline above

Crowd favourite – Line 4 – The Orc Chasm

By halfway you are down at river level and the furtherest into the gorge. Line four sends you 200 metres through a tree-tunnelled slot canyon, over a waterfall, only metres above the cascading river. 200m of pure joy at river level!

Rider gliding over the turquoise Blue Lagoon

Stunning finale at the Blue Lagoon

The 8th line glides out over the final rapids, finishing over a turquoise pool. Arrive with butterflies, leave buzzing with excitement, new knowledge and a sense of achievement that stays with you long after you’ve landed.

This has to be the best activity I have done in Queenstown in 14 years living here. The views are breathtaking — birdlife, native bush, waterfalls.

Paradise Ziplines is hands down the best, most fun experience on the South Island.

Absolutely amazing. Stunning scenery, the guides were great. We’ve done a lot of NZ ziplines and this is our favourite.

The Queenstown to Glenorchy road at Bennetts Bluff, above Lake Wakatipu

Getting there

One of the world’s great scenic drives

The 45-minute run from Queenstown along Lake Wakatipu to Glenorchy is worth the trip on its own. We pick up from 13 Mull Street, Glenorchy, outside Akin Cafe.
